This
is a case of a retired college professor aged 59 who had uncontrolled diabetics.
His P P B S was 254 and FBS was 194.He
was taking medicine from another system of medicine.
After retirement he felt
very lonely and so he started teaching catechism in a Sunday school in the nearby
church. His wife is a nurse in a famous hospital. He has a daughter with very
good academic background who refuses to get married even after the repeated
request of the father. He spends some time in the vegetable garden which he
grows in the terrace of his house. He likes solitude to read .Another good quality
is he cannot support injustice of any kind to anyone.
His thermal condition was Hot.
Considering all these mental
condition I prescribed him the following medicine. I advised him to continue
the medicine which he is taking and at the same time I shall give him Homoeo
medicine and when the blood sugar level reduces we will reduce that medicine,
in a tapering method. The prescription chart is as follows :
8th August Sulphur
24th August (No change,
but repeated Sulphur).
10th September (No
change in Blood Sugar Level. So I reconsidered his case and changed my prescription
to Ignatia.
13th October F B S 82
(Normal) He did not verify his PPBS. He was continuing Ignatia 0/6 and the the
medicine from the other system of medicine together and the blood sugar level
continued to be normal. One day he declared that he is going to stop the
medicines from the other system of medicine. As usual I gave him Ignatia. But
never again he returned to the clinic. (Hope his Blood Sugar Level is still NORMAL,
after a period of six months.)
