Case Study 1: Knee Pain and Inflammation

,
Here is an account of some of the cases, which was found to be quite challenging and interesting in my professional career.

This is a case of a 42 year old female beautician with a height of around 5’4 inches, having an 18 year old daughter. She consulted me for severe pain and inflammation in her knee joint. She also had itching and eruptions around her waist and below the breast where the clothes were tight.

On enquiry she revealed that she had no periods for the last four to five months. I recommended a USG of the uterus which she declined telling that she had already consulted a gynecologist. She also remarked that it is more convenient to have no menses. On further investigation it was found that the lady was aggressive and short tempered. She preferred meat and spicy food. She was thirst less.

Taking into account the above mentioned factors I decided to give her a dosage of Staphysagria. Later on I was forced to prescribe Platina considering the psychological status of the patient. A particular incident caught my attention. On seeing a weighing balance the lady was fascinated and she climbed on to it. She was astonished to find that she was only 59 kg. She exclaimed “I am only 59 kg. I thought I would be  around 70-75kg.I seems to have more weight than this. Isn’t it?”   Finally from my observations and analysis I concluded that she suffered from severe mental delusion “great or big person she is” and therefore decided to switch on to Platina.

She was completely cured after one month.

Note: It is advised not to use the same medicine without consultation of a Homoeo Physician.
