CASE STUDY 10 : ENLARGED PROSTATE ASSOCIATED WITH DIABETICS AND RHEUMATISM

            This is a case of a man of 61 years who was suffering from two or three diseases at a time. He came to me for sudden urgency in urination. He works 225 Kms away from home and visits home once in a week. Being aware of his urgency in urination he arranges his journey in two halves .At first he buys ticket for half of the distance, gets down from bus, passes urine for fear of involuntary urination, and continues the second half of the journey. He was suffering from the disease for the last eight years .He also revealed that he is also suffering from Diabetics and rheumatism. There was some eruptions in the penis and redness and swelling in the prepuce. He had burning while urination. He had pain in the inguinal region. He also suffered from lumbago and varicose veins in calf muscles. He also suffered from sleeplessness before midnight.

  All these complaints started, when he lost some money in business. Due failure in business he had to sell his house. So there was insecurity in life.

              His thermal condition was Heat.

              Considering all these conditions I prescribed him   a medicine. Try to find the medicine.

              His next visit was two weeks later. He came with a relieved face, His urgency in urination has reduced, and he could travel to his home in one stretch. Gradually one by one all his complaints disappeared .His blood Sugar level also became normal in ten months time. (With medicine) .

Case Study 9: PSORIASIS

This is a case of Psoriasis treated elsewhere for eight years.

He presented himself with the following complaints.Itiching eruptions all over the body .He will scratch the part until it bleeds.

He was a carpenter and lost his job because of this disease. He cannot continue because he will sweat when he works and the itching aggravates. And now he is afraid of poverty. Now his team members with whom he was going for work do not call him while they go for work. There developed hatred towards them.

His thermal condition is Hot.

He had thirst for large quantity of water.

Considering all these conditions I prescribed him Calc.Carb.for one week.  He returned with out any relief. So repeated the same medicine. He got a slight relief, and so I continued the same medicine. After 7months he got a cough and I discontinued the medicine and gave PLACIBO. The skin condition improved when the cough increased. I repeated only the placebo in spite of his request for a cough remedy.  He was relived of the cough in two months without any medicine. By that time the Psoriasis was also cured. By that time he had started to go for work .

Case Study 8:DIABETICS CONTROLLED

This is a case of a retired college professor aged 59 who had uncontrolled diabetics. His P  P B S was 254 and FBS was 194.He was taking medicine from another system of medicine.

                       After retirement he felt very lonely and so he started teaching catechism in a Sunday school in the nearby church. His wife is a nurse in a famous hospital. He has a daughter with very good academic background who refuses to get married even after the repeated request of the father. He spends some time in the vegetable garden which he grows in the terrace of his house. He likes solitude to read .Another good quality is he cannot support injustice of any kind to anyone.

His thermal condition was Hot.

Considering all these mental condition I prescribed him the following medicine. I advised him to continue the medicine which he is taking and at the same time I shall give him Homoeo medicine and when the blood sugar level reduces we will reduce that medicine, in a tapering method. The prescription chart is as follows :

8^th August Sulphur

24^th August (No change, but repeated Sulphur).

10^th September (No change in Blood Sugar Level. So I reconsidered his case and changed my prescription to Ignatia.

13^th October F B S 82 (Normal) He did not verify his PPBS. He was continuing Ignatia 0/6 and the the medicine from the other system of medicine together and the blood sugar level continued to be normal. One day he declared that he is going to stop the medicines from the other system of medicine. As usual I gave him Ignatia. But never again he returned to the clinic. (Hope his Blood Sugar Level is still NORMAL, after a period of six months.)

Case Study 7:THE MAN WHO TRAVELLED THROUGH BLACKHOLE OR VALLY OF DEATH

        This is the experience of a man who usually comes to my clinic for minor ailments such as commoncold, cough, or viral fever. When he came here he was very excited and frightened. In this case I had nothing to do. Now, in his own words. “Yesterday night I was sitting idle in my home. Suddenly I heard a sound such as ‘’DIM’’ inside my head. Then something surging (To move in like a wave rising up and sweeping upward) from body to head and upwards. Something had gone out of my body as if thrown by force. It was like a force-black in color- the vital force-filled in a balloon. I understood that it is my soul. I was passing through a black hole. I thought I was dying. Suddenly I called my God and everything returned as ever before.”   

EXPLANATION : It is a delusion .The idea of black hole; he might have got from some fiction which he might have read earlier.

Case study 6: ADENOIDS ENLARGED

 This is a case of a man 43 years old who migrated to Ireland from India .His wife is a nurse now working in Ireland. She was a patient of mine when she was working in Cochin. One day She called me and told me that her husband has some complaints and he wants a consultation. He came in the phone and narrated his complaints as follows.

                         

 “I   am suffering from Postnasal discharge for the last four or five years. I sneeze continuously. I have a cough of metallic sound. My nostrils are obstructed. I have to spit always the mucus coming from the posterior nares. All these complaints are aggravated during winter and in cold air or at the change of weather.My Knee joint have a slight pain while walking.”

His thermal condition is cold aggravation. He has a thirst for large quantity of water at frequent intervals.                          I asked his wife to have a look into his nostrils. She reported that there is a small ball shaped thing inside the nose obstructing his breath. I presume that it is enlarged ADENOIDS. Case study 5: Cancer Breast- NUN- Prevention- Metastasis

                      This is a case of a nun who had Cancer Breast and who had done Mastectomy and Hysterectomy after diagnosis of cancer    in breast. Chemotherapy was also done. No radiation was done. Now she wants medicine to prevent Metastasis. (Migration of disease from one organ to another organ-usually more vital organ). Two or three nuns of her congregation expired recently from metastasis of cancer. I usually do not treat cancer because I am a failure   in treating cancer.  But this nun is a friend of my wife, so a special case.

                        Before going into the case I have to explain why I do not treat cancer. I have mentioned that I am a failure in treating cancer. Why, (?) I have thought many a times, but I have not found a correct answer. Later I watched the cases of eminent oncologists.  They were also failures.(?) Their cured cases are less than 1%.Others thrives on medicines till the patient succumbs to death. But why is the failure to all. Of course it is a terminal disease. That is for the aged. But what about children and youth who are in the robust of health? What has gone wrong?. Is it the thought process? Is the philosophy about cancer is wrong? Is the entire world is thinking in the wrong direction? How is that possible? Of course we cannot deceive nature. Is that we are deceiving nature, and the nature makes its revenge? But what about King David who suffered from the same disease (?) at the end of his life? Or is it the cause of using pesticides and hormones to grow more food grains, vegetables and fruits? So the first prescription was to live according to the rules of NATURE.

                          During case taking she reveled that she had some grief due to the death of her mother and sister within a span of one year. For some reason or other she also desires death. If anyone quarrels with her she would not talk to that person for along time. A kind of reserved character. Her thermal condition is HEAT. She has a thirst for large quantity of water at long intervals. She complained of floating colours in front of her eyes. She is also suffering from Glaucoma she is also suffering from Diabetics.    

                          Considering all these symptoms I prescribed her Sulphur 0/6 /1dose every month .After four months she developed some eruptions on her abdomen which she treated with antibiotic and glycerin without informing me, and reported. I explained to her that it was some kind of skin eruptions which was suppressed previously and that should come out and then only you will get a cure. A gain I prescribed prescribed her Sulphur and again the eruptions on abdomen reappeared. She promptly reported about it  and I gave her some PLACIBO . The eruptions disappeared in one month. Now Six years has passed since the treatment started. No metastasis until now. She regularly visits for medicine and once in awhile ie once in two or three months I give her a dose of Sulphur. She regularly visits her oncologist and he is also happy with her progress. She also had Diabetics and Glaucoma which never increased since the treatment.

Case Study 4: Echoing in ears

 Once, a close friend of mine, and a well known doctor, consulted me for his ear problem.  When he speaks, the voice echoes in his ears. He had already consulted many of his colleagues with this issue. And at last a senior physician from a reputed hospital gave him a prescription to be used for the rest of his life. 

As a part of my usual medical examination I enquired about his thirst. He told me that he is very thirsty but often restraint himself from taking water from the clinic for the fear of getting infected with some diseases from the patients coming to his clinic. He was very obese, and perspires too much.

 For me the selection of an appropriate remedy was quite easy as I had to choose between either Phosperous or Causticum. Compared to Cauticum, Phosperos was more cheerful, lean and thin.  Considering both his physic as well as his mental makeup I decided to give him Causticum. 

He never again complained of reverberating in the ears. Now days, he reads homeopathic Materia medica and tries homeo medicines for different cases.
